Service Description
The Advanced Life Support (ALS) blended learning course provides healthcare providers the knowledge and skills necessary to assess recognize and care for adult patients experiencing life threatening medical emergencies. Consistent with the American Red Cross Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020 the ALS course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. The online portion of the ALS course features adaptive learning technology which offers a personalized focused learning experience for each participant. Participants must successfully complete the online portion of the course including the ALS Team Response Scenarios at the end of each lesson and the final written exam before attending the in-person skills session.In support of improving patient care American Red Cross is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.The American Red Cross is an accredited provider of continuing education by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education.For additional information on receiving healthcare continuing education credit go to https://redcross.cloud-cme.com/content/ceinfo

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION/REBOOK POLICY: Our cancellation and rebooking policy states that all transactions are non-refundable once a class is booked due to limited seating. In the event of a no-show, full payment for the class is required to rebook. Rebooking is free if done more than 72 hours before the class; however, a $50 fee applies if rebooking occurs within 72 hours. You have 30 days from the original class date to reschedule, and if you do not have the required materials for an Instructor course, a $75 rebooking fee will apply. Date of future course will be selected same day and $75.00 rebooking fee is due within 24 business hours. If not satisfied within 24 business hours removal will occur and repayment of course will be required.Additionally, if you are enrolled in a blended class and have not completed the online session by class time, you will need to pay full cost of class and rebook for a future class. Renewal courses: Participant will need to provide day of course a CURRENT and ACTIVE certification with the organization in which they are registering for. If they do not have the certification or they have a certification with a different organization $50.00 rebook fee as well as difference in total for course they register for is due. No partial or full refunds will be given. Classes may need to be rescheduled if you are the only student whom has signed up for said class(while this is unlikely, does from time to time occur). If we have only 1 student signed up for a class, a rebook will be needed. Refunds will not be able to be given. LATE POLICY: Students are allowed to arrive up to 5 minutes past their scheduled time. Arrivals beyond this 5-minute grace period will require students to reschedule in accordance with the cancellation/no show policy, with no exceptions permitted. WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: If extreme weather conditions arise, instructors may issue a reschedule email at their discretion. Students have the option to select one future date to attend. If a student cannot attend the chosen date, they should refer to the cancellation policy. Should extreme weather occur again on the selected date, students can choose one additional date. Refunds will not be provided.
